The Office of Commonwealth Libraries has PA Library Staff Niche’ Academy. Courses are vetted and count towards library staff continuing education hours. A certificate of completion can be printed and added to staff member CE files for the year. Library Directors are required a minimum of 8 hours; staff that work 20+ hours per week are required 6 hours every two years. Continuing Education is not mandated for library trustees, but is highly encouraged.
